ChalkieTalkie

How to give an AI coding agent useful visual feedback.

A good revision request tells your agent what to change, where to change it, and what to preserve.

When you’re reviewing a website, “make it cleaner” leaves a lot to interpretation. A marked element, a screenshot, and a specific request give the agent a concrete starting point.

1. Pick a single target

Select the heading, card, button, or region that needs work. Include the page name and explain where the element sits. A screenshot helps when several elements look similar.

2. Describe the visible problem

Start with what you notice: “The heading wraps onto three lines at this window size” or “The main button blends into the background.” This tells the agent why a change is needed.

3. Say what should change and what should stay

Pair a specific instruction with a constraint. That keeps the revision focused and helps preserve the parts you already like.

Target: Homepage hero heading

Make the heading slightly smaller so it fits
on two lines at this window size.

Keep the serif typeface and the current wording.
Preserve the mobile layout.

4. Review before handing off

Voice notes can capture an idea quickly. Review the written feedback before sharing it, remove false starts, and check that each note still points to the right target.

5. Share the right amount of context

Paste the review into your coding tool. If the request depends on visual details, attach the relevant screenshots or exported files where your tool supports them. Ask the agent to check the page at the viewport sizes you care about.

Where ChalkieTalkie fits

ChalkieTalkie connects your written feedback to the selected parts of a page. Share the summary, transcribed notes and screenshots with your agent. You can check the notes and screenshots before sharing them. Audio recordings are not included. In the website example, you can download HTML notes with example images or JSON notes with image references. The extension also exports your captured screenshots. You choose when to send the feedback; ChalkieTalkie does not change your site.
