Prototype privacy notes

Prototype privacy.

These notes describe the current local capture prototype and this website. They should be reviewed again before a public store launch or hosted account features are enabled.

This website

The public website uses Google Analytics 4 with analytics and advertising storage denied. Google receives cookieless measurement signals for page visits and actions such as download-link clicks and demo use. We do not grant cookie consent or enable advertising personalization. Our custom events contain only the action and its placement, not your feedback text, screenshots, audio, or clipboard contents. Its interactive design preview runs in your browser and does not request microphone access. It saves simulated sequences and fixture images in a separate local IndexedDB database on this device, with a local carry reference for recovery. Use Past sessions → Storage to review usage and delete that demo history; clearing this site’s browser data removes it too. This is separate from extension storage. Copying feedback writes to your clipboard only after you click Copy text. Library exports JSON notes with screenshot references or HTML with the fixture images embedded. Audio is excluded.

The hosting provider may process routine request information to deliver and secure the website. Analytics runs only on the configured domain and is skipped when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. We strip query parameters and fragments from page URLs and send only the referring site’s origin. Google still receives routine connection information when measurement requests are sent. Cookie-free signals have reporting limitations and do not establish confirmed extension installs. See Google’s privacy policy.

Early-access requests

The early-access link opens a Google Form that collects your email address, role, and intended use. We use these responses to understand interest in the beta and contact you about access. Responses are stored in Google Forms and are not shared with other applicants. Do not include private project details in your answer. See Google’s privacy policy.

Webpage access and recordings

The extension’s capture workflow accesses the tab you activate it on. It captures selected webpage context and screenshots, and can record microphone audio after your explicit action and browser permission. Optional host access and identity permissions support development features and should be reviewed in Chrome before installing.

Local sessions and transcription

Captured sessions, feedback, screenshots, and recordings are stored in the extension’s browser database. Optional local transcription uses a downloaded speech model. This capture workflow does not automatically upload your evidence or send it to a coding agent.

Copying, exporting, and deletion

You choose when to copy review text or export a ZIP containing feedback and supporting files. Once you share an export with another tool, that tool’s data practices apply.

Use the extension’s session deletion action to remove its local records. That does not delete ZIP files you have downloaded or files already shared elsewhere. Uninstalling the extension or clearing browser data can remove local work, so export anything you want to keep.

Future features

Hosted storage, accounts, billing, or a native Mac app would need updated disclosures before becoming part of the public product. These notes do not cover an unlaunched service.
